Jordi Vilasuso New Baby Fights For Life, Asks For Prayers

Young and the Restless alum Jordi Vilasuso and his wife Kaitlin have had a challenging time over the past year. After going through loss and then having a high-risk pregnancy along with seeing their daughter arrive early at 35 weeks, they are facing yet another horrific challenge. The couple is asking fans to pray for their newborn daughter as she fights for her life. Keep reading to find out more about this sad story.

Jordi Vilasuso and his wife Kaitlin are asking prayer warriors for their help. Lucy made her way into the world a little early and was born at 35 weeks. Things were going great for this sweet family finally. However, they now went to social media to ask for more prayers. It seems Lucy was diagnosed with RSV on Monday and is now in the NICU fighting for her life.

Kaitlin shared the request on Instagram where she wrote, “Eh friends.. we come to you coveting your prayers yet again. I feel like all I do is ask you all for prayers or thank you for prayers.. I suppose that is just the season we’re in right now. We found out Monday that Lucy had RSV and by Monday night she had been admitted to the hospital w/ difficulty breathing. Last night, things unexpectedly took a turn for the worse and she was moved to NICU w/ what the doctors described as a partially collapsed right lung. I am still struggling to believe this as I type.”

She went on to say, “Please please pray with us for miraculous healing for Lucy’s precious little body. We love her so much and just want her home and happy and in our arms.”

RSV is Respiratory syncytial virus and while in most healthy adults it creates mild cold-like symptoms, in infants and especially those premature or with weakened immune systems it can be life-threatening.

Kaitlin’s high-risk pregnancy and well wishes from friends and fans

They revealed to fans in September that after suffering two losses they were expecting a baby girl. However, at 20 weeks, there were complications and Kaitlin was at risk of having their daughter too soon. She underwent a procedure that would help the baby remain in the womb as long as possible.

Kaitlin went into labor early at 35 weeks. Overall, their daughter was born healthy and was soon ready to go home with her family. Now, at less than a month old she is fighting for her life.

Fellow soap stars went to the comment section to show their support for Jordi, Kaitlin and sweet little Lucy. Eileen Davidson said, “Prayers and love for Lucy. ❤️❤️❤️”

Darin Brooks, Maurice Benard and Ashley Jones all also sent their support and prayers to the family. Lauralee Bell, Tracy Bergman and Doug Davidson also offered well wishes for Lucy.

Former Bachelorette DeAnna Pappas also sent her love and prayers. She said, “Praying for you all & the Lord’s divine mercy and intervention 🙏🏼”
