Jill Duggar Dillard Mourns Daughter Isla Marie At Funeral

Jill Duggar Dillard and Derick Dillard continue to mourn the loss of their daughter. On April 13 Jill and Derick announced to their fans that their daughter Isla Marie was stillborn. She was only four months pregnant when she lost their first daughter. Now, as they continue to grieve, they said goodbye and laid their daughter to rest. Jill Duggar Dillard And Derick Dillard Shared Funeral With Followers

Jill Duggar Dillard and Derick Dillard are mourning the loss of their first daughter. The couple shares three sons together already. They were all excited to add a new family member in August. However, Jill suffered a miscarriage at only four months pregnant.

They shared the tragic news on Instagram. Their initial post revealed Jill and Derick holding their baby girl wrapped in pink. Their post started off by saying, “It is with heavy hearts that we announce the stillbirth of our beautiful baby girl, Isla Marie Dillard. Jill was 4 months pregnant (due in August) when we found out that our baby died in utero.”

Now, they shared photos from Isla Marie’s funeral service which was held on April 19.

Along with multiple photos from the funeral, the caption read, “🩷Isla Marie, our baby girl. We will love you forever & hold you in our hearts until we hold you in heaven. 🩷 Laid to rest 4.19.2024 #stillbirth #dillardbabygirl #islamarie #lovedforever”

The Family Previously Suffered Another Loss

Isla Marie is not the first child that Jill Duggar Dillard and Derick Dillard have lost. Jill suffered another miscarriage in October 2021. That pregnancy ended while she was still in her first trimester. She and Derick named their lost baby River Bliss.

She continues to talk about their child who was never born and remembers River in a post in October 2022. At the time Jill was nursing Freddy and said she was feeling moments of joy and sadness.

She was thankful they were holding their newborn baby but also sad she never had these moments with River. Jill noted that she couldn’t wait to see him again.
