‘Golden Bachelor’ Gerry Turner Announces Big Life Update

Golden Bachelor Gerry Turner has been through a lot over the past few years. He was the first ever lead for the Golden franchise. Plus, he married his final pick, Theresa Nist, only to divorce her a few months after their live television wedding. Then, he shared with followers that he had been diagnosed with cancer. Finally, he met and fell in love with Lana Sutton and eventually proposed. The couple is currently engaged. Now, Turner announced a huge life update to fans. What did he share? Golden Bachelor Gerry Turner Has Huge Update For Fans

Golden Bachelor Gerry Turner revealed in December 2024 that he was diagnosed with cancer in March that year. The diagnosis came just weeks before his split with Theresa. Fortunately, the bone marrow cancer he has is slow-growing and is called Waldenström’s macroglobulinemia. Since it grows slowly, he was not receiving any treatment at the time. 

Turner then met Lana Sutton after she slid into his DMs. The two started dating in March 2025. In October last year, Gerry proposed to her, and she said yes. Since getting together, the couple has traveled all over and has enjoyed getting to know each other’s families. The two shared a photo on New Year’s, and Gerry noted that he didn’t know how 2026 could top 2025, but they were sure going to try.

Now, Turner went to Instagram to share a big life update with fans. Gerry shared multiple photos on social media and revealed that he and Lana are taking the next big step in their relationship. They bought a home together.

Gerry said, “There have been many great days over the last 12 months traveling, bonding families, building a loving and fun relationship with Lana. But yesterday was one of the very best. Finding our perfect home was an arduous journey. So gratifying to close on our new home together.”

Golden Bachelor alums and fans reacted to Gerry and Lana’s big news. Kathy Swarts congratulated them both on their new house. Golden Bachelorette Joan Vassos said, “Wow! So happy for you both. 💕💕” Jesse Palmer also sent his congrats to the happy couple. 

Fans also congratulated them on their first home together. Some fans told them how cute they are together. 

While Gerry and Lana did not reveal the location of their new home, they are both living in Indiana, so chances are they remained somewhat close to their individual homes. They have not announced a wedding date yet.
