‘General Hospital’ Theory: Nathan West Is a Cassadine, Which One?

General Hospital fans have been floating around theories for months about Nathan West (Ryan Paevey). Everyone is finding it hard to believe that Detective West was somehow resurrected from the dead and has no recollection of the past seven years. He’s managed to convince much of Port Charles of his identity, but now, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) is awake. If anyone knows if he’s the real Nathan, she will, right? As these two prepare to see one another this week for the first time, a new theory is emerging about Nathan’s possible secret identity. For months, many have believed a variety of theories, including that he could be Cesar Faison or Peter August in a very convincing disguise. If he’s not either of them, who could he be?

General Hospital Fans Float New Theory 

General Hospital has fans on their toes trying to figure out if Nathan West is who he says he is or if he’s an imposter. All theories link him to Cesar Faison except this newest one. Now, it’s being thought that perhaps he’s not related to the Faison family but is rather a Cassadine. This theory would also make sense, since he seems to be falling hard for Lulu Spencer. Which Cassadine could Nathan West be? He could be none other than Stavros Cassadine.

Being the firstborn son of Mikkos and Helena Cassadine, being a villain runs through his veins as he’s proven time and time again. His obsession first was with Laura Spencer (Genie Francis). Then, as the years went on, his obsession shifted to Lulu. In fact, it was supposed to be his sperm that fertilized Lulu’s egg. However, it turned out to be Valentin’s baby, and that is, of course, Charlotte. 

Could Stavros be back to make Lulu fall for Nathan so he can get the child with her like he always wanted? Plus, there have also been rumors circulating that Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) could be making a comeback to Port Charles. The actor recently commented that he believes Nikolas has unfinished business on the show. 

What Happened To Stavros?

Stavros Cassadine has died at least four times on General Hospital. However, death doesn’t always mean death on soaps forever. In fact, there have been many rise from the grave more than once. Stavros has fallen into a bottomless pit, been shot, and also in an explosion. He should be dead, but everyone knows anything is possible. 

The last time he was “alive” was when Dante shot him rescuing Lulu, and then the building exploded. 

While it does seem unlikely that Nathan West is Stavros, never say never. What do you think? Will Maxie believe he’s her husband back from the dead, or will she know something is not right?
