‘General Hospital’ Shocking Twist Reveals Deep Cassius Secret

Updated: General Hospital fans were shocked to learn that Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) is really his twin brother, Cassius Faison. Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) said that Faison had four children, and it was only a short time later when Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) referred to him by his “real” name of Cassius. While he’s doing a great job of playing both good and evil, it has many fans talking about whether his true identity has really been revealed. Is Cassius holding a deep, dark secret that even he doesn’t know about? 

General Hospital Writers Waiting To Pull Another Huge Twist?

There are a lot of General Hospital fans who think that there is more to the story regarding Cassius Faison. Sidwell and even Cassius keep saying that “saint” Nathan is dead. However, what if he’s not? What if somehow Nathan was really saved by his father, who did, ironically, shoot him? It still remains an interesting fact that Dr. Obrecht seems to have no recollection of having twins. She’s not mentioned another son at all. On Thursday’s episode, Cassius told Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) that Liesel was told her second baby died at birth. Is this true or just a story Cesar told him?

Yes, it’s possible that somehow Faison swooped in and took baby number two to raise as his own. However, it seems even more likely that Faison might have wanted his only son to be like him and be evil rather than the stand-up cop he was. Brainwashing is not anything new to soap operas. It’s entirely possible that Cassius is really a brainwashed Nathan. He does seem to know some about Nathan’s past life and job. Did he really have Nathan’s body dug up, or was he made to believe he did?

Cassius said he hacked the PCPD database to switch out Nathan’s fingerprints with his own. However, it’s still possible he was made to believe he was doing this, but still unknowingly is Nathan.

Will He Find Out Who He Really Is?

If this were all true, which has in no way been confirmed, then what would happen if Cassius found out he’d been lied to all these years? If somehow he is really Nathan and his memories were restored at some point, would it change everything? Would he fight to get Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) back and feel bad for falling for Lulu Spencer? 

Regardless, there are still a lot of unanswered questions when it comes to Cassius Faison. Did Cesar raise him? Why didn’t Liesel ever talk about a second child? How long has Sidwell been behind all this? No doubt writers have more twists and turns in store for fans as May Sweeps continues to heat up.
