‘General Hospital’ Rocco Innocent, Who Really Shot Cullum?
General Hospital fans are reeling after Monday’s exciting, drama-filled episode. So much went down from Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo) getting stabbed and bleeding out to Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) meds being smashed by Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes). Then the real shocker was seeing Cullum about to strike Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) with a metal baton when a shot was fired into his back. He fell to the ground, and fans saw Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) standing, holding the gun. Right now, it looks obvious that Rocco pulled the trigger. But it’s possible he is being framed. If that’s proven to be true, who really shot Cullum?
General Hospital Framing Rocco For Cullum Shooting?
General Hospital and other soap writers have done it before, and there is nothing stopping them from doing it again. One person is believed to have shot someone, while really someone else was lurking in the shadows with the real murder weapon. Right now, it seems obvious that Rocco shot Cullum to save Jason. However, Rocco has never fired a gun before, and there is no smoke coming from the weapon. Plus, the real clue is that nobody saw him pull the trigger. Viewers only saw him standing holding a gun after Cullum went down.
It’s possible someone else was at the docks too and is the real shooter. Rocco may be so traumatized by all the information he heard and the horrible things he saw that he even believes he shot Cullum, at least for now. If by some crazy chance it was not Rocco, then who was it, and why would they want Rocco to believe he committed the crime?
Regardless, it’s pretty certain that Jason will take the fall for the shooting. He will not incriminate Rocco in any way. Since Jason’s leaving the show until summertime, it’s possible he runs. However, it’s not likely he would leave Britt behind, so he might scrap their escape plans and let Dante arrest him for shooting Cullum. Shipping Jason off until his trial is a good way to keep him off-screen until his big return.

Who Shot Cullum?
If General Hospital writers decide to make Rocco innocent, who would have shot Cullum? At this point, all signs point to Nathan West (Ryan Paevey). His mysterious return to Port Charles was brought up again by Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna), along with the fact that Brennan could not find any information on Nathan from those seven missing years. Brennan even hinted that Nathan is lying and really does remember exactly where he’s been. Fans already believe there is more to his return than what is being revealed so far.
Nathan left Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) to go help officers search for Jason. He may have stumbled upon the scene at the pier and shot Cullum. Since we know that there’s a good chance Nathan has ulterior motives, he won’t admit it was him and let Rocco believe he did it. He will also let Jason take the blame for the shooting. He wouldn’t want to tarnish his good cop image, and shooting the WSB director is a big deal. Not everyone knows Cullum is truly evil.

Nathan is seen in Tuesday’s preview saying nobody has to know. If Nathan did shoot Cullum, why? For some reason, he wants to be close to Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening). Spoilers say he will confide in Lulu about something. Will he tell her about Rocco so he looks like her hero once again? Eventually, his true motives will be revealed.
Nathan is no doubt up to something. There’s a very good chance he’s not even really Nathan.
This is currently all speculation. Rocco may have indeed shot Cullum, but in the soap world, shakeups are a must, and this could be another huge twist set up by writers. What do you think? Did Rocco really pull the trigger?
