‘General Hospital’ Michael Headed Back With The Real Drew Cain In Shocking Twist

General Hospital fans know the Nurses Ball is going to bring some intense moments. Many have thought that perhaps this is when they will debut the new Michael Corinthos (last played by Chad Duell). Everyone has also noticed that Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) is not really himself these days. Perhaps it was caused by the time he was locked away. Or, perhaps there is something that goes way deeper and beyond what anyone thinks is possible. What if Drew is not really even Drew?  Could Michael return with the real Drew Cain?

General Hospital Nurses Ball Brings Huge Shocking Moments

The man Port Charles sees today as Drew Cain is not the same man he used to be. In the past, he was never quite as evil and manipulative as he is now. In fact, it’s like he’s a totally different person. Rumors have been floating around that perhaps Drew is really Shiloh (Coby Ryan McLaughlin).

Of course, fans saw Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) take Shiloh down. However, it wouldn’t be the first time a character has been presumed dead and gone just to make a comeback from the grave.

Let’s take a quick trip back to the past. When Drew Cain was in prison, Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) had his men stab him. He was taken off for medical treatment and this seems to be when a major turning point came in how he acted.

Could the rumors be true? Could the real Drew Cain have been swapped out while getting treated for that stab wound? As manipulative as Shiloh was, he could easily weasel his way into plastic surgery that made him look the part of Drew.

If this were true, then where is the real Drew Cain? Perhaps as Michael’s treatment in Germany moves along, he happens to become acquainted with other patients at the facility. What if one of those is his long-lost Uncle Drew, the real Uncle Drew?

Perhaps Michael decides to return to Port Charles on the downlow and bring his uncle with him. Can you imagine the look on everyone’s face when Michael and the real Drew walk into the ball? Confusion is an understatement.

The Similarities Between Drew And Shiloh Are Uncanny

Adding to the speculation that Drew Cain could be Shiloh, the similarities they share are downright creepy. One of the biggest similarities is Drew’s obsession with Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen). She was manipulated by Shiloh in the past, if this is him now, it’s no different.

Their personalities are also very similar in nature. They are both very manipulative and up to no good.

It’s not unreasonable to think that Shiloh could want to have Drew’s life. He was no doubt jealous of the money Drew had, especially after learning he shared the Quartermaine name. There was also bad blood between the two men.

All he had to do was make a switch and take over Drew’s life.

Of course, right now, nobody knows what is truly up with Drew Cain. Maybe he has truly just become a very evil man. If not, Port Charles may be in for a huge twist when Michael returns with the real Drew. If that’s the case and it comes true, there will be some major drama ahead.

General Hospital writers are definitely keeping fans on their toes, trying to figure out the mystery surrounding Drew. What do you think will happen next?
