‘General Hospital’ Laura Wright Gives Away Drew Cain’s Terrible End?

General Hospital star Laura Wright, who plays Carly Spencer, shared something that could be a hint of what’s to come for villain Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison). Fans are talking about a recent social media post that praises Cameron for his performance with Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) this week on the show. Her post referenced something that makes some wonder if she could have just dropped a big clue about what’s in store for Congressman Cain in the coming weeks and months. What did she post?

General Hospital’s Laura Wright Hints At Drew’s Downfall?

Fans want nothing more than to see Drew Cain taken down, and so far, nobody has been able to succeed at doing it. He always seems to come out of most sticky situations smelling like roses. His wedding to Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) was the exception. She still has not forgiven him, and he’s not pushed it too much as far as getting her back.

He is alienating everyone and trying to keep Scout away from Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) family. Hatred for Drew continues to grow in Port Charles, and at some point, something has to give. Did Laura Wright give a clue as to what will happen next in a social media post?

Wright posted a photo on her Instagram Stories featuring Alexis and Drew. On the photo she wrote, “These scenes were so good!!!! Cameron you’re the new JR Ewing!!! Haaa. Woohooo.”

JR Ewing is from the old primetime drama, Dallas. JR was hated by many, and eventually, he got shot. It became a big whodunit mystery because so many people wanted him dead. JR survived the gunshot.

Did Wright just hint that someone may try to shoot Drew, and it will be a mystery as to who finally did the deed? Chances are that Drew won’t die, just like JR. Should an attempted murder be made, the list of suspects is long.

Who Would Try To Kill Drew?

General Hospital writers have made Drew Cain such a hated man that the list of who might snap and try to take him out is long. Most recently, he managed to get under Alexis’s skin by saying Scout could have nothing to do with her or the rest of the family. He wants to move Scout to DC, and Alexis thinks this is a bad idea.

Many think her Cassadine side will emerge, and she may shoot or try to stab Drew with Helena’s dagger. She’s not the only one who despises Drew, though. Portia and Curtis also both hate him and what he’s done to their family. His blackmail days are definitely not behind him.

He also made the mistake of threatening Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota). Sidwell is not someone he should really be messing with. He could easily have had Drew taken out and blamed someone else.

His ex-fiance, Willow, is another suspect. She’s already proven she’s unstable, and she blames him for losing her kids. Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) could also snap if Drew continues to push his buttons. He is the mob boss’s son, and he will do anything to keep his family safe.

Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) also has good reasons to hate Drew Cain. She did sleep with him, and now her daughter hates her and wants nothing to do with her. She, too, blames him for Willow losing Wiley and Amelia.

Then there is Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). They are always suspects when something bad happens in Port Charles.

Tracy Quartermaine also despises Drew and could decide that enough is enough. If this is the route writers choose to go to seal Drew’s fate, they have a lot to work with. He’s a very hated man.

Right now, nobody knows if Carly was just talking or if it’s truly a hint of what’s to come. What do you think will happen?
