General Hospital fans were shocked to hear that Kate Mansi was exiting the soap. Since her big reveal, everyone has been wondering what fate Kristina Corinthos-Davis will face. Now, it’s been revealed. What will happen to Kristina? 

General Hospital Prepares To Say Goodbye To Kristina

General Hospital already revealed to fans what will happen to Kristina Corinthos-Davis after Kate Mansi announced her shocking exit. Mansi has only been on the soap for three years, but has made a huge impact. Fans loved her in the role that was formerly played by Lexi Ainsworth. In fact, many wondered if Ainsworth would reprise the role when Mansi exits in June. While that could be an option somewhere down the road, it doesn’t seem that the part will need to be filled right away. What are writers doing to send Kristina out of Port Charles?

On Tuesday’s episode, Kristina was speaking with her sister Molly when a text on her phone grabbed her attention. She then revealed a big shocker to Molly. She told her sister that she’s been accepted into medical school. Did anyone see this coming? Dr. Kristina Corinthos-Davis?

Hopefully, fans will soon get more insight into Kristina’s decision to pursue medical school. This isn’t the first time that Kristina has left Port Charles to attend school.

Why Is Kate Mansi Leaving?

Kate Mansi actually filmed her final scenes on General Hospital back in April. Her final airdate will not be until sometime in June. On Sunday, Mansi confirmed the rumors were true and she was leaving the soap. She said, “I have a few new projects that require my full attention, and with my husband [Matt McInnis] currently producing a series filming primarily abroad, I needed the flexibility to travel while continuing to develop and work in Los Angeles.”

Mansi went on to say, “I’ve loved being a fiery Corinthos-Davis girl in such a phenomenal family.” She concluded by saying it’s time for both her and Kristina to go on a new adventure. 

Mansi took on the role in 2023 and was honored with a Daytime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in 2025. She previously won a Daytime Emmy Award for her role on Days of Our Lives.
