‘General Hospital’ Kate Mansi Out As Kristina

General Hospital star Kate Mansi is reportedly OUT as Kristina Corinthos-Davis. Her status with the show has been questioned numerous times in the past, especially recently, after directing a few episodes herself. What happened to make her leave the daytime drama? 

General Hospital Says Goodbye To Kate Mansi

A final airdate is not yet known, but General Hospital fans will reportedly be bidding farewell to Kate Mansi very soon. Soap Opera Network exclusively shared that Mansi is exiting the soap. There are currently not a lot of known details. ABC nor Mansi has made an official announcement regarding her exit. 

According to the report, Mansi opted not to renew her contract with the soap. She joined the series in 2023 and now feels it’s time to move on. It was stressed that it was entirely her decision to walk away from the role of Kristina. While a final airdate has not been announced, Mansi has reportedly already filmed her final scenes as Kristina. It’s unknown whether or not the show plans to recast the character. The soap saw a lot of success when they recast Michael Corinthos with Rory Gibson. Could they find that same success again?

It seems Mansi might have given a small clue that her departure is imminent with her latest Instagram post. She shared a photo of herself that said, “Lots of new 📷 @mitchellwojcik”

Mansi’s Past Soap Career & Promising Future

Prior to joining General Hospital, Kate Mansi was best known to the soap world for her role on Days of Our Lives. She played Abigail Deveraux DiMera, which earned her an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Daytime Drama Series. She won the honor in 2017. 

Now, just this month, she debuted her new movie, Casa Grande. She also proved to be a great director when she led the way for her on-screen sister Molly’s endometriosis storyline. This one was personal for Mansi as she suffered from the condition herself.
