‘General Hospital’ Is Ryan Paevey Leaving Role Of Cassius?
General Hospital fans are seeing rumors surface online that indicate Ryan Paevey could be leaving his role as Cassius Faison, aka Nathan West. When Paevey rejoined the cast, there was no timeline set on how long his return would last. He knew he would only return for a juicy out-of-the-ordinary role, and he got just that. However, since Cassius is supposed to be the evil twin, is there still a place for him in Port Charles?
Is Ryan Paevey Saying Goodbye To General Hospital?
Fans have loved having Ryan Paevey back on screen. It turns out he’s not really Nathan West but instead his twin brother, who was supposed to be dead at birth. Cesar Faison took him from Liesel Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) and raised him as Cassius Faison. He is helping Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) and Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) complete Faison’s final cold fusion project. Now that Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) ran away, they abducted Obrecht to complete her part of the job.
The good news is that Cassius doesn’t seem to be as evil as his father was. He wants to escape Cullum and Sidwell, but can he? Is Cassius destined to be killed trying to save his mother, or Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), or wind up in prison? Will he be leaving Port Charles dead or alive?

Will He Leave The Show?
Fans are hoping the rumors are wrong regarding Ryan Paevey’s status on General Hospital. What got everyone thinking the end of the line is near for Paevey? It was a recent interview featuring Dominic Zamprogna (Dante Falconeri). In the interview by Michael Fairman, Zamprogna discussed some scenes he filmed with Alexa Havins Bruening (Lulu Spencer), where she discovers Cassius lied to her about who he was and that she slept with him.
Zamprogna reflected on Dante’s emotions in that moment, but it seems his quote might have been misunderstood. “And it’s not so much an anger thing towards him because he’s not there anymore. It’s a sadness for her…’cause [Dante] does love her and the last thing he wants is for her to be hurt,” Zamprogna said. However, he could have been implying that Cassius isn’t part of the romantic picture anymore since “Nathan” and Lulu have already broken up.
This might mean Dante is more focused on Lulu’s pain rather than his issues with Cassius. Even if Cassius ends up in prison or goes on the run for a while, that doesn’t necessarily mean his time on the show is over. In any case, it would be unusual and unprofessional for Dominic Zamprogna to casually reveal Ryan Paevey’s exit in an interview like this.
That vague remark is certainly not confirmation that Paevey is leaving General Hospital. There is no reliable source confirming Paevey’s departure yet, so it’s important to keep that in mind.
General Hospital spoilers indicate Cassius will face more drama ahead, so stay tuned for updates on his future. Do you think Cassius will stick around and perhaps even become a love interest for Joss?
