‘General Hospital’ Is Martin Grey Gone For Good?

General Hospital fans saw Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) make a visit to his sister, Laura Collins (Genie Francis), on Monday’s episode. Nobody knew that Martin was leaving Port Charles again. He told Laura he had been offered a chance to take on a case that would get him a lot of money in Reno. While he wanted to go take advantage of the opportunity, he was worried about leaving Laura alone. Martin has left before and returned. Will the same thing happen, or is he gone for good? 

General Hospital Bids Farewell To Martin Grey

In Monday’s jaw-dropping episode of General Hospital, fans saw Martin Grey say his goodbyes to Laura. Before officially departing, Martin told Laura he knew she must be lonely without Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) and Ace Cassadine (Karis and Kiernan Barry) there with her. Plus, he brought up the zoning ordinance tension with Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot).

Laura assured him that she can deal with Tracy just as she’s been doing for years. She couldn’t possibly stand in the way of this great opportunity. So after expressing that she would be fine and getting an emotional hug, Martin exited. Is he coming back?

Soap Opera Digest confirmed Michael E. Knight’s exit from the soap. They also mentioned that this isn’t the first time Martin has left Port Charles for a decent amount of time. The publication stated, “It’s that time of year again! Knight has been taking an annual hiatus from the show while he travels East to visit his family.” So, it seems that his hiatus is only temporary. Right now, there has been no confirmation of a permanent exit from ABC or Michael E. Knight.

Fans Express Concern

General Hospital fans went to social media to share their concerns about Michael E. Knight. Many noted that he looks a lot thinner now. Some said they hope he is not leaving due to health reasons and wondered if he has some sort of illness. Everyone said they hope he is going to be okay. Here are some of their comments:

• “I thought it was me. He really did get very thin. I hope he is OK. I will miss him”
• “However, he seems to be losing weight or something! Is he ok, or am I imagining it?! I hope he’s ok”
• “He has lost so much weight Hopefully he is ok”

Hopefully, Martin does return to Port Charles and perhaps even gets that love story with Tracy that so many fans have been dying to see happen.
