‘General Hospital’ Elizabeth Leans On Dante After Tragedy Strikes

General Hospital fans are speculating that writers may be testing the waters when it comes to Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna). When the show puts two characters together more than usual, it could mean they are looking for fan reaction to chemistry. They might want to see if the two could be a potential love story. Of course, Ric (Rick Hearst) has been trying to swoop in and get Liz to fall for him again. So that’s a problem. But what if tragedy strikes Port Charles and it pushes Liz into Dante’s arms for comfort and strength? Could there be a romance brewing for these two? 

General Hospital Pushing For An Elizabeth, Dante Pairing?

General Hospital fans have been seeing more and more of Dante and Elizabeth together. Could this be the start of something much bigger than friendship? It’s been a minute since Liz had a hot romance, and while things are beginning to sizzle again with Ric, there’s always something that can ruin it. 

Fans have been speculating that something might happen to Ric in the coming months. He’s got everything going for him at the moment. Ric’s relationship with Molly is incredible; he’s making amends with his brother Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), and now things are finally picking up with Liz. The good times can’t last forever in the soap world, right?

Somehow, Ric could end up in the crossfire between Sonny and one of his many enemies. Since he’s on good terms with his bro, he might lunge in front of a bullet to keep it from taking out Sonny. Ric could die, or he could be placed in a coma, which isn’t uncommon for soaps either. Regardless, Elizabeth will be broken. Just as things were picking up for her and Ric, he might be taken away, leaving her alone and sad. 

Who better to turn to than Dante? He’s the acting police chief, and if Ric were shot or even hit by a car, he would be helping with the investigation. Dante may be the comfort she never knew she needed.

Things Get Complicated

Of course, if Ric survives and eventually comes out of the coma, Liz will be torn. While he was fighting for his life, she was falling for Dante. Plus, Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins) has moved on from her ex-husband Dante, but she also hasn’t seen him with another woman. Will that invoke jealous feelings from her? 

Then, there’s poor Ric. He would want to prove to Liz that he’s the man for her. She will find herself torn. Liz could use some drama and romance in her life. Lately, it seems all she’s good for is someone everyone can talk to about their problems. 

So, while nothing has been confirmed and a Dante, Liz romance is just a rumor, as is Ric getting hurt or killed off, it looks like writers might be testing the waters with these two. What do you think about this scenario? Could it happen?
