‘General Hospital’ Dex Heller Still Alive In Shocking Twist

General Hospital fans are trying to figure out what Professor Henry Dalton (Daniel Goddard) could be up to. The WSB has an interest in him, and everyone wants to know why. Somehow, Dalton is tied to many storylines. Theories are floating around online that a shocking twist could be coming soon. Everyone saw Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) get stabbed while on police duty. Then, Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) injected him with digitalis, taking his life. However, many think this never really happened. Some are beginning to think it was all a setup, and Dex is really alive. Here is why this could be what happened.

Did General Hospital Writers Fake Dex Heller’s Death?

General Hospital fans could be on to something, thinking that Dex Heller could possibly be alive and in hiding. It wouldn’t be the first time soap writers have pulled an epic twist. After Dex died, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) was devastated. She wanted justice. As she proceeded to uncover Cyrus as the murderer, Jack Brennen (Chris McKenna) was watching her closely. He was setting her up all along to see what she was capable of.

When Cyrus allegedly killed Dex and then took the wristband off what he thought was Dex’s body, it was really a fake. Brennan had already stepped in long ago and had this all planned out. After learning of Sam McCall’s death, Brennan knew he needed to set up the perfect scenario to catch Cyrus in the act.

He wanted to expose Cyrus and also recruit Joss as a WSB agent. Everyone knew Dex was super smart. So, no doubt his high exam scores made him a prime target to recruit as a new agent.

Having Joss on board would serve Brennan well, not only with Cyrus but with other WSB targets. In the end, Dex and Joss as WSB partners would be incredible.

Other Clues He Could Be Alive

It was also pointed out by sleuthing fans that Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) seemed very “underwhelmed” by Dex’s death. There was no big police funeral, and it didn’t seem like a big deal was made that an officer was killed in the line of duty.

Now, it’s possible that writers just didn’t go that deep with Dex’s death, and he really did die that day in General Hospital. However, it would be an epic twist to have him still alive and watching from behind the scenes.

It’s obvious that Brennan was planning everything for a while. He set up Joss to find Cyrus and see what she would do to end him. So, it’s entirely possible he had everything in place, including Dex’s fake death.

Another mystery lies in why he wanted Joss to be the one investigating Dalton. More rumors are flying that perhaps Dalton could be into experimenting with cloning. Whatever he’s up to, Brennan wants his hands on it.

There are a lot of questions to be answered and secrets that need to be unraveled. Could Dex not being dead be one of them?
