‘General Hospital’ Dex Heller Back In a Resurrection Storyline?

General Hospital has brought back many characters from the dead. The most recent ones are Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) and Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud). As the storyline gets deeper, many are wondering if anyone else might return from the great beyond. One person in particular is Dex Heller (Evan Hofer). The speculation has swirled on and off for months. However, with Hofer’s new announcement, the rumors are ramping back up. Is Heller coming back in a resurrection storyline? 

General Hospital Bringing Back Dex Heller?

General Hospital fans are wondering once again if Dex Heller could be coming back from the grave. He made a huge announcement this week, revealing that he was making a guest appearance on prime-time television. He will be appearing in the ABC drama 9-1-1: Nashville. Nothing about Port Charles was mentioned, but the fact that Hofer is staying connected to ABC gives fans hope. 

Here’s why his resurrection could happen. Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) took Dex’s death hard. In fact, she ended up shooting Cyrus Renault while trying to prove he’s the one who killed her boyfriend and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco). At that moment, Jack Brennan swooped in and took Joss under his wing to become a WSB agent. Joss eventually moved on from Dex and began to fall hard for Vaughn.

These two are banned from dating by Brennan, but they can’t repress those feelings forever. So, perhaps just as they are getting hot and steamy again, Dex makes his comeback. However, there’s a twist that nobody saw coming.

Dex Is Alive With a Twist

General Hospital fans thought Dex deserved better than what he got during his time on the soap. Many have since hoped they would bring him back. Perhaps they will, and with a twist. What if writers reveal that Dex was not really dead and also that he is WSB? 

It might come out that Brennan has been keeping this all from Joss, so she couldn’t blow their cover and investigation. Who knows, since Cullum is an evil man, maybe he needed Dex out of the way. He might have taken him away somewhere, held captive so he couldn’t interfere. Nobody would be looking for him anyway; they all think he’s dead. 

How incredible would it be to have him reappear and help take down Cullum and Sidwell? Of course, Joss would have some big decisions to make as well if he really returns. It’s all speculation, but anything is possible in Port Charles.
