‘General Hospital’ Leaked Post Reveals Michael Corinthos Being Recast?

General Hospital writers may have given up on the prospect of Chad Duell returning to his role as Michael Corinthos. When he announced his departure from the beloved role, he said Executive Producer Frank Valentini left the door open should he wish to return. At the time, Valentini said there were no plans to recast Michael but one never knows as it is daytime soap operas. Now, it seems a leaked tweet may have given away the future of Chad Duell making a comeback.

Is Chad Duell Officially Closing His General Hospital Era?

General Hospital fans may finally have an answer on whether or not Chad Duell plans to return to his role as Michael Corinthos. Fans saw him exit the show when his character was jetted off to Germany for treatment of burns he suffered in the penthouse explosion.

While Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) seeks revenge, his son is getting the help he needs overseas. Of course, since his life is in longer in danger and his children are in Port Charles, it makes sense that Michael will eventually return. However, it has been unclear if it would be Chad or someone else.

Now, in a deleted tweet on X, it seems fans may have the answer. Soap Opera actor Robert Adamson shared his thoughts and they were not what fans were hoping to hear in not one but two ways. If his post is accurate, Chad will not be returning as Michael.

In the now-deleted post, Adamson said, “@GeneralHospital Thanks for having me in to read for the recast of Michael. Covered the role not once, not twice, but three times without notice or time to physically prepare. But I don’t even get an opportunity to read.”

One fan responded to the post saying, “Well. This sucks. Sorry Robert”

The post has since been taken down but not before some were able to grab a screenshot of it. If this is legit, this means the role of Michael is being recast. Now the big question is who will take over this iconic role?

Fans have previously voiced that if Chad was going to be replaced they would love to see Robert Adamson take on the role permanently. Sadly, for whatever reason, it looks like that did not happen.

Why Did Chad Duell Leave GH?

General Hospital fans were very disappointed when Chad Duell announced his decision to leave his role as Michael Corinthos. His decision was based on personal reasons. He loved his character and his co-workers but needed time to focus on himself and his family.

Chad had revealed at the time that he was still processing his father’s death and wasn’t handling it very well. He needed some time off to cope and focus on his family.

He never said he wouldn’t return to the role one day. Who knows, maybe the recast is just temporary and fans will still see Chad reappear in the future when he’s ready.
