‘General Hospital’ Chad Duell Back As Michael For Bombshell Reveal

General Hospital fans are eager for the return of the Nurses Ball. There has been tons of speculation about what will go down during this ball. May Sweeps pretty much ensures that it will be bringing some shocking revelations. Fans have also been anxiously awaiting the return of Michael Corinthos. He’s been away in Germany getting treatment for his burns he received when Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) penthouse bomb exploded. There have been leaks that the search for the new Michael is underway. However, what if the recast is not really a recast after all?

General Hospital Brings Back Chad Duell In Nurses Ball Bombshell

General Hospital fans have been highly anticipating the return of Michael Corinthos. Nobody has seen him since he left the hospital to travel to Germany for burn treatment. Fans thought they might get a glimpse of him when Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) went overseas to talk to him. However, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) bribed a nurse to keep her out of his room.

So, fans were let down and did not get a glimpse of the new Michael. Now, as the drama thickens back in Port Charles, tensions will be high at the Nurses Ball for more than one reason. This seems like the perfect time for Michael to return to destroy Drew and Willow.

There has been speculation that Michael is being recast due to a leaked tweet from Robert Adamson indicating his frustration that he did not get an opportunity to read for the role. Instead, fans began thinking perhaps the role was possibly being given to Rory Gibson.

However, what if all the information is wrong? What if General Hospital writers reached out to Chad Duell to see where he stood with reprising his role as Michael?

Chad Duell never said he was completely done with the soap. He needed time away to heal from losing his father and connect more with his family. There are a few hints that maybe he was ready to return and take back the role of Michael Corinthos.

Clues Chad Duell Could Be Returning To GH

Chad Duell has shared updates about his life on social media from time to time since leaving General Hospital. His latest post was four weeks ago. While it was a month ago, the post dropped possible hints that maybe he’s ready to return.

Chad shared on Instagram that he has been getting in shape. Along with a shirtless photo, Duell said,

Been on a real journey lately..mentally and physically. Dropped nearly 20 pounds since December, but the weight that really mattered wasn’t just physical. Been shedding old mindsets, self-doubt, and comfort zones too. Funny how the more you grow mentally, the more your body wants to match that energy. Or maybe it’s the other way around? Either way, they’re definitely in a relationship… and I think they’re getting serious.

Chad’s hashtags were all about mental health, transformation and one in particular that said #actorlife.

Perhaps Chad and his new transformed body will be returning to drop the bombshell of all bombshells at the Port Charles Nurses Ball. How incredible would it be to see Chad himself walk into the Ball ready to take back his life and his kids?
