‘General Hospital’ Andrew Hawkes Reveals Cullum’s Fate

General Hospital cast the perfect villain when they gave the role of Ross Cullum to Andrew Hawkes. He’s the man everyone loves to hate, and he’s doing a phenomenal job. In a recent interview with Maurice Benard on State of Mind, Hawkes dished on Cullum’s fate and how everything changed. He’s not quite done with his evil ways, and some Port Charles characters are in extreme danger. One thing is certain: Cullum must make sure nobody finds out what he and Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) have been up to. If someone leaks information, then it could ruin everything they worked for. 

General Hospital: Cullum’s Death

General Hospital fans hit the jackpot when Frank Valentini hired Andrew Hawkes to portray evil double agent Ross Cullum. He’s done such a good job playing the part that his time in Port Charles has been extended. Hawkes spilled the tea to Maurice Benard that his time on the soap was supposed to end on Pier 55 when Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) shot him. However, Valentini, along with fans, were loving the job he was doing and kept him around. 

So, if writers had stuck with the original plan, Cullum would have been dead that fateful night on the pier. Instead, he’s still around and looking to wreak more havoc. Right now, there is no indication of when Hawkes’ time on the show will end. However, chances are his demise will come in some way in the next few months. Cullum might face a grisly fate and die. Or, he could finally be exposed as a double agent and thrown into the pits of hell by the WSB. 

Either way, fans are looking forward to seeing him get what he deserves. Who knows, maybe Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) will deliver the fatal blow and get the ultimate revenge for Marco Rios’ death.

What Evil Does Cullum Have Planned?

Now that Cullum knows that Rocco is the one who shot him, he wants to get back at him for pulling the trigger. Will he really go so far as to order a hit on him and Britt? Britt has gotten so close to finishing the project that he might think she and Rocco are both useless to him and Sidwell now. If he finds them before Brick (Stephan A. Smith) does, then it could be game over for Britt and Rocco. 

Then there is Anna Devane (Finola Hughes). She’s already tried to escape the French clinic once. Who’s to say she won’t try again? Cullum doesn’t need her messing up his plans by rambling about Cesar Faison anymore. He could order his French minions to stage her death before someone like Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) tries to rescue her. Of course, Cullum won’t kill Anna for real, but he can sure make everyone in Port Charles believe she’s dead. 

Then, when Anna escapes again and lands back in Port Charles, his plans will be ruined. Spoilers say that Finola Hughes and Steve Burton are both back on set filming for the daytime drama.
