‘General Hospital’ Alexis Back To The Bottle After Sam’s Death?

General Hospital fans watched as Kelly Monaco played her final scenes as Sam McCall this week. Many hoped it would not be true but sadly it appears it is. One of the most heartbreaking scenes was Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) crawling into bed with Sam to try and warm her up. Now that she has lost her daughter again and knows she will not be coming back, will Alexis fall off the wagon?

General Hospital Alexis Relapses After Sam’s Tragic Death

General Hospital viewers are mourning the death of Sam McCall right along with her on-screen family. Everyone watched as Alexis crawled into bed with her daughter to hold her and talk to her. She couldn’t come to terms with Sam being so cold. She wanted desperately to warm her up.

As Alexis talked about the day Sam was born and how beautiful her hair and eyes were, she talked about what a miracle she was as well. Now she’s questioning how such a miracle could be taken away from her. Alexis screamed with anguish for God to bring her back. She held her daughter close and sobbed.

Now that Sam is dead, what will happen to Alexis? Her past addiction to alcohol has been hard to overcome. She’s been dealt with a lot of blows lately. Is it all enough to push her over the edge and straight back to the bottle? Perhaps Alexis will lose everything she has worked so hard to rebuild.

There’s a good chance that Sam’s death is going to create a spiraling effect for many people in Port Charles. Dante already feels guilt that Sam died to save Lulu. Jason will also have to face a world without Sam in it and be there for their child.

Nancy Lee Grahn Talks About How Hard Those Final Scenes Were

After General Hospital fans saw Alexis say her goodbyes to her daughter, Nancy Lee Grahn went to X formerly known as Twitter to share how hard it was for all the cast members as well.

She said, “As hard as it may be for #gh viewers to watch today’s episodes and the episodes to follow, it was equally as hard for me and my casemates to play. Playing Kelly Monaco’s mom has been effortless and the love is real. 💙”

Fans are still unhappy with the writer’s decision to end Sam McCall’s life. Many are calling for one of the head writers to be fired.
