General Hospital head writers are dishing out some hints of things to come in 2025. Co-writers Elizabeth Korte and Chris Van Etten teased that nobody is safe in the new year. It even sounds like that could include fan-favorite mob boss Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). On Christmas fans saw Sonny enjoy a loving day with family before heading off to bed. However, as he was heading that way he suddenly froze and reached up for his chest seemingly in pain. Will his health crisis change everything? Keep reading to see what the writers are saying.

General Hospital Fans Could See The Demise Of Sonny Corinthos

Sonny Corinthos has been a huge part of General Hospital for many years. Is his time running out? Fans saw him spend a great evening with his daughter Kristina before heading to bed. She gushed over how she never would have made it through the year without him.

It was a good Christmas for Sonny until he reached up and grabbed his chest in pain. The moment passed and he headed to bed. It left fans stunned and hopeful it’s not an indication that he is about to have a heart attack. Even powerful mob bosses eventually face their downfall.

Spoilers indicate that things are about to change for Sonny and everyone around him. Writers said, “Sonny is hit with an existential crisis that has him re-examining his personal and professional lives. It seems fans will find out fairly early in 2025 why Cyrus decided to kill Sam McCall. Of course, Dex was taken out after getting closer to figuring out that Cyrus was at the hospital the day Sam went into cardiac arrest.
