Kelly Jo previously took to IG to share a lengthy message for Michaela and Brandon, who celebrated their 11th wedding anniversary. According to the Bringing Up Bates star, she recalls the time when Brandon first called them to ask about courting Michaela. Kelly Jo was so happy for her daughter, as Michaela had expressed how much she admired Brandon back then.

She wrote, “Now these eleven plus years later, it’s hard to believe all that God has done in your lives- from living in different states to job changes, to being involved in ministry opportunities, to fostering children.” Kelly Jo went on to gush about the great examples that the couple set for the family. She also admires how Michaela and Brandon don’t have enemies in life. But aside from the two, Kelly Jo also shared a new update, seemingly showing who her favorite son-in-law is.

In an Instagram post, Kelly Jo shared a long message for her son-in-law, Evan, who’s celebrating his 31st birthday. According to the Bringing Up Bates star, she’s thankful for the humor Evan added to their family. She then describes Evan as a fun, easy-going, hilarious, and talented son-in-law. He would always be the life of the party.

Kelly Jo then shared that Evan’s name means “God is gracious,” and his middle name, Patrick, means “nobleman.” She added that if she’d had another son, she would name him Patrick. Due to this, she’s grateful Evan came into their lives. Kelly Jo wrote, “You’ve always been such a perfect addition to our family, & I’ve loved having you around to bring laughter and a positive, uplifting feeling.”

Kelly Jo’s message comes amid the ongoing drama happening in the family. Travis, who cheated on Katie earlier this year, recently documented his baptism. Several Bates family members left positive comments on his post. However, he never responded to any of them. But he would leave comments on his other relatives’ posts, seemingly hinting that there’s still a rift happening between Travis and his in-laws.
