Nick Viall was controversial during his time on the Bachelor franchise. He outed his intimate relationship with Andi Dorfman after she sent him home before he could propose. He went on to join Kaitlyn Bristowe’s Bachelorette season, as well as Bachelor In Paradise. He gave it one more shot at finding love on reality TV as The Bachelor. But his engagement to Vanessa Grimaldi didn’t last long. 

He eventually found love outside the franchise with Natalie Joy. Nick Viall used his reality TV fame to get into podcasting. The Viall Files is one of the most lucrative podcasts. Nick Viall initially hosted his podcast solo. His wife, Natalie Joy, now co-hosts alongside him. The couple recently announced they’re expecting twins after suffering multiple miscarriages. They have one daughter, River Rose, 2.

The Bachelor alum signed a multi-year podcast deal worth a reported $20 million last year. However, his reputation took a serious hit after a recent shocking interview. Southern Charm star Austen Kroll was a guest on the podcast in January. At one point in the interview, Natalie Joy brought up the death of Austen Kroll’s sister in the most offensive way. Out of the blue, she asked, “What was this cliff?” 

The Southern Charm star’s sister died after falling off a cliff during a family hike. Austen Kroll appeared uncomfortable, refusing to answer the question. “I won’t even say the name of the town,” he replied. 

Fans Demand Apology

The awkward exchange was over a month ago, but fans are still upset. There have been calls online for Nick Viall and Natalie Joy to apologize for the heartless interview. Multiple outlets reported recently that the couple did apologize to Austen Kroll in private, but fans want more. 

According to The Blast, the backlash could ruin Nick Viall’s career. He is supposed to host an age-gap dating show for Netflix alongside his wife. There is an 18-year age gap in their own relationship.
