Bachelor in Paradise Stars End Engagement

Spencer Conley and Jess Edwards each went to their personal Instagram Stories to share that they have decided to part ways. In their joint statement, they said,

“After a lot of honest conversations and reflection, we’ve made the difficult decision to end our engagement and go our separate ways. There wasn’t one moment that brought us here. The past year and a half gave us so many memories and experiences that we’ll always cherish, and while this isn’t the ending we imagined, we’ll always have so much love and respect for each other and for what we shared. We’re moving forward with grateful hearts, genuinely wanting nothing but happiness for one another. Thank you to everyone who believed in us and rooted for our love. Your continued kindness means more than you know as we navigate what comes next.”

Many fans are disappointed to see this news, as these two quickly became favorites and everyone was excited to follow their journey.

Their Relationship

Spencer and Jess met on the beach and fell in love. They have been nearly inseparable since then and even moved into a big townhome in Dallas with their dogs. They had plans to marry and even discussed the location and how many bridesmaids and groomsmen they would have. While they were not in a rush to plan a wedding, the two did know that is what they wanted.

As they stated in their announcement, there was not one particular thing that led to their decision to end things. Both Spencer and Jess arrived in Costa Rica on day one and hit it off. She joked on her Instagram that what started as a conversation about straws and sea turtles would turn into the greatest love story of their lives. Sadly, it didn’t last as long as they hoped.
