‘Bachelor In Paradise’ Joe Amabile Diagnosed With Brain Tumor, Details

Bachelor in Paradise alum Joe Amabile, also known as grocery store Joe, shared with fans that he has a brain tumor. Amabile was one of the lucky contestants who found love on the reality series. He met, fell in love with, and then married Serena Pitt after their time together on BIP. The happily married couple is ready to fight this battle together and win. Bachelor in Paradise: Joe Amabile Faces Brain Surgery

Bachelor in Paradise alum Joe Amabile went to Instagram to share a heartfelt video detailing what was found and how. In the video, he revealed that he hadn’t revealed the results of a scan he had because there was bad news in the results. He said, “So a little medical update. I didn’t share my Prenuvo results because they ended up finding a lesion in my brain. So then I had to go get a brain MRI, and there was a blueberry-sized lesion in my brain that looks to be a glioma, which is a tumor.”

Amabile will undergo brain surgery to remove the lesion and test it to find out if it is benign or cancerous. Joe noted that is something nobody expects to hear and so it’s been a wild few weeks. He said, “So I now need to get brain surgery [in two weeks] to get it removed and get it tested, and then we’re gonna go from there. So it’s been a wild couple weeks. Definitely wasn’t expecting this.”

What Else Did He Share

Joe Amabile went on to share with fans that he is lucky to have support from many friends and family, including his wife, Serena. She commented on his video and said, “You’re so strong and we’re going to get through this together ❤️ I love you”

Amabile is trying to stay positive through it all and told fans he would keep them updated. He said, “I think it’s one of those things where you’re like, ‘Oh, something like this never happened to me,’ and here I am. They say it’s really early stages. I hope they are able to get it all, and I’m fine. But I will keep you updated.”

While he contemplated not sharing his diagnosis with everyone on social media, he decided he should since fans have been by his side through it all.
