Bringing Up Bates Fans Discuss Michaela Bates

Bringing Up Bates star Michaela Bates revealed to fans that she and Brandon do, in fact, have a baby in heaven. A fan brought up their heartbreak on a social media platform. What they didn’t share was that the sad news came from Michaela quite some time ago. In fact, it was 142 weeks ago that she shared the news that they have a daughter in heaven.

In the old Instagram post, Michaela confirmed it’s true and said, “We are not sure if or when we will share the details of our pregnancy publicly, but we do have a little girl in Heaven. There are a lot of emotions, tears, love, joy, and grief that accompany this journey.”

She continued to say that she can’t begin to express the joy she felt when two little lines appeared on her pregnancy test and when she saw their first ultrasound. Michaela went on to say that she also can’t express the grief they felt when they lost the pregnancy.

Fans pointed out in the comment section of the social media post that it was old news. Regardless of when it was shared, it’s sad for the couple and something they no doubt still grieve.

Their Journey To Parenthood

Michaela and Brandon have tried for a long time to have children. Sadly, they have not had any successful pregnancies. This year, the couple announced in May that they had decided to be foster parents. They revealed that they are fostering two brothers, a three-year-old and a newborn.

At the time, Brandon said, “We’ve been praying for years that God would provide a way for us to have children and neither of us saw this coming. All of a sudden, we’re a family of four.”

They are unsure how the story will end for these two little boys. When they took them in, adoption was not on the table. Michaela said they would love them with all their hearts as if they would be there forever. If they sadly have to leave, she will know she gave them her all while they were with her and Brandon.
