Erin Bates Still Battling Puzzling Illness In Hospital, Chad Shares New Photos

Bringing Up Bates star Erin Bates is still in the hospital after giving birth on August 25. In fact, she was transferred to a new hospital this week in hopes of the doctors there being able to treat her better. Kelly Jo and Gil shared an update with fans on Thursday, saying that they have been hesitant to address Erin’s illness because her diagnosis has been changing often. Now, Chad went to Instagram to share with fans, along with many photos.

Erin Bates Fighting Complications

Bringing Up Bates star Erin Bates is still in the hospital, fighting complications that have occurred after giving birth to her seventh child. According to her mother, Kelly Jo, Erin’s condition is puzzling doctors. She will recover from one thing just to have another complication show up. Multiple tests are being run to try and figure out what is keeping Erin down.

It started with a UTI and kidney infection and then moved to septic shock.  Since then, fans have not been told a new diagnosis. Kelly Jo said, “We’ve hesitated to share updates, since Erin’s diagnosis has changed several times. She’d recover from one thing just to experience yet another complication. It’s puzzled the doctors who’ve done a significant amount of testing, so without an exact diagnosis, & with her condition changing often, it’s been harder to share.”

Her family has stepped in to help take care of her seven children, including baby Henry. On Friday, Chad Paine went to Instagram to share many photos of what’s been happening in the hospital and outside of it. There are many photos of the kids having fun with their grandparents and other family members. There are also a few photos of Erin lying in her hospital bed. The family has not shared how long she will be in the hospital.

Chad Thanks Everyone

In his post, Erin Bates’ husband Chad thanked everyone for their continued prayers and support. He said,

“We have been completely overwhelmed by the love and support of family and friends during this difficult season. From watching the kids and taking them on adventures, to helping with baby Henry and lifting Erin up with encouragement—you have carried us in ways we can’t even put into words. We don’t know how to say thank you enough, but we are truly, deeply grateful. ❤️”

Many family members and fans commented that they are praying every day. Some fans told her to keep fighting because the world needs her.

As Erin continues to battle this mysterious illness, her sister Carlin Bates is celebrating the birth of her new daughter this week.
