‘General Hospital’ Maxie Following Britt’s Path, Same Poison Used?

General Hospital fans know that Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) has to be behind Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) collapse. She is the only partner in Deception who wanted to report Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) to the police. Sidwell even told Marco Rios that he was very excited to watch the Deception ladies on television and said he wouldn’t miss it. Is this because he arranged for a mysterious poison to be put into the face cream Maxie applied to her face? Now, after saying Maxie had a heart attack, a mysterious enzyme has been detected in her blood that Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) has not seen before. Could this be the same poison that Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) came in contact with that led everyone to believe she was dead?

General Hospital Anna Devane Suspects Poison

As a former WSB agent and the PCPD Chief, Anna Devane knows her stuff, and after hearing Lucas say that there is an enzyme that he has never seen before showing up in Maxie’s blood, she suspects poison. No doubt, Anna or someone will go to the television studio to get the cream that Maxie applied just before her collapse. However, there’s also very little doubt that the container is still lying on the ground. Someone came and handed her the cream just before showtime, and after it did its deed, someone surely snagged it before it could be used as evidence.

Whatever is in that cream caused Maxie to have a heart attack. Now, she won’t wake up and appears to be comatose. The next big question is whether or not the enzyme in her blood will somehow make it look as though she dies. Britt was poisoned by Heather’s hook and also supposedly died. She didn’t, and Maxie could face the same fate. Maxie could be taken somewhere, which is where she will be held, and no doubt, where Ryan Paevey’s return will come into play.

Somehow, all this is tied to Sidwell, Professor Henry Dalton (Daniel Goddard), Britt, and whoever is the mysterious boss calling the shots.

What Is Dalton Up To?

The WSB believes that Dalton is working on some cold fusion project, and it seems like Britt is helping this move along as well. So far, nobody has been able to pinpoint exactly what is going on, but what if they are engineering biological weapons? They could even be working on anecdotes along with the weapons as well.

Think about it, if they had biological weapons they could sell for use in wars that could get them prisoners, they could also pull them back out of their poisoned, near-death state to get valuable information from the enemy. Of course, they could also be working on something with stem cells to cure diseases and maybe even resurrect those believed to be deceased. That’s pretty far-fetched, but we are talking about the world of soaps.

It’s yet to be seen what happens next with Maxie, but fans do know Kirsten Storms is taking a lengthy absence from the show and stated she won’t be back until the beginning of the year. She’s already filmed her final scenes for the year. Will viewers be led to believe she dies in the hospital, only to reappear months later alive and well?

Or, will she be in a coma for months on end with no real answers as to what happened to her?

Right now, it’s anyone’s guess, but Storms has teased that her storyline will freak everyone out.
