‘Young & The Restless’ Is Nick Newman Next Murder Victim?
Young & The Restless fans are wondering which character could be next to meet their maker as the murder mystery continues to ramp up. Nobody is safe, and it seems everyone is a suspect after Damian Kane (Jermaine Rivers) was stabbed and killed in cold blood. One of the head writers has teased that nobody is safe and core characters are in danger. Speculation is swirling that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) could be next to go down. Why does everyone think Nick is leaving the show?
Young & The Restless Saying Goodbye To Nicholas Newman?
Joshua Morrow has been on Young & The Restless for more than 30 years now. He joined the show in 1994 as Nicholas Newman. After three decades, is he hanging up his soap hat? Head Writer and Executive Producer Josh Griffith spoke with Soap Opera Digest, saying that there will be lots of twists and turns coming up.
Now that Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) has been revealed as Aristotle Dumas, the real fun began with a classic murder mystery. Cane has a lot of enemies, and everyone would like nothing more than to place Damian’s murder on him.

At the chalet, Cane is convinced he is the target and it was supposed to be him getting stabbed instead of Damian. Nobody trusts Ashby after being deceived about his true identity, but he insists everyone is in danger.
Head writer Griffith teased fans that nobody is safe. He said, “It’s safe to say that danger continues to loom in a big way, putting our core characters in serious jeopardy.” His hint sounds as though another murder could be happening soon. Will it be Nick Newman? Fans believe it could be. After thirty-plus years, is Morrow saying goodbye?

Why Fans Believe He’s In Danger
Young & The Restless fans already suspected that another major character could be exiting the soap. Now that Griffith has said the “core characters” are in serious jeopardy, fans are even more convinced Nick could be next to go.
Nick believes that Cane is involved in Damian’s murder and trusts nothing he says or does. Cane knows how Nick feels about him and had Carter place him under house arrest. Is it possible that Cane will just decide Nick is in the way and causing too many problems?
Nick’s words to Cane also caused quite the stir with many thinking that it only fueled Cane’s hatred toward him. Nicholas thinks Cane is involved in the murder and is trying to shift all the blame to him. They both have personal vendettas against one another, so anything is possible.
Newman said, “I don’t know what game you’re playing, but trust me, you will lose. You came after the wrong guy and family. But from now on, you come at me man to man, you hear me?”
Did that place a big target on his back? Many believe Cane could order Carter to kill Nick and eliminate the problem he’s threatening to pose altogether.
After thirty years, is Nick Newman really leaving? So far, Joshua Morrow nor writers have confirmed an exit. Do you think he’s next on the chopping block? If Nick doesn’t die, who will?
