‘7 Little Johnstons’ Leighton Undergoes First Surgery

7 Little Johnstons went to their official Instagram page to reveal that sweet little Leighton Drew is undergoing her first surgery. The family announced the news the morning she was set to undergo the procedure. Is she okay? Keep reading to get all the details and an update from Liz Johnston.

7 Little Johnstons went to their official Instagram page to share with fans that Leighton Drew was about to undergo her first surgery. The news comes just after she celebrated her first birthday. When the family first announced her surgery, they did not share what exactly was being done.

They simply shared a black-and-white photo of Liz Johnston holding Leighton. The caption said, “Big day for our Leighty-Bug….1st surgery”

So far no fans have commented on the post. Since Leighton is an average size baby they will not have to worry about the health scares that can arise from dwarfism.

So what is wrong with sweet little Leighton? Not too long after the announcement was made that she was undergoing her first surgery, Liz went to Instagram Stories to share a huge update.

She shared a photo of Leighton from her time at the pumpkin patch. She captioned it, “Tubes in ears for our Leighty-Bug were a success!!!”

Many young children undergo this procedure to help correct chronic ear infections. While it is a low-risk surgery anyway, it sounds like Leighton made it through with flying colors.

Leighton’s First Birthday

The 7 Little Johnstons family all came together to celebrate Leighton Drew’s first birthday over the weekend. She has been a joy for all of them. Liz Johnston and Brice Bolden often gush at how much they love their little girl.

Emma also shares updates often about how much she loves being Leighty-Bug’s aunt. Then of course there is Trent and Amber Johnston who love being “lolli and boppa” to Leighton.

Amber and Trent shared a photo of Leighton on her first birthday and said, “Our Leighty-Bug is 1 today! #beinglolliandboppaisthebest”

Of course, Liz also posted about her daughter turning one. She shared a family photo from Leighton’s big day and said,

Our Leighton Drew is ONE💕 we love you so much leighty-bug, baby girl, butter bean, you’ve made this year one that your Daddy and I will never forget, we love being your parents and are so blessed to call you ours🥰, we can’t wait to see what the years ahead bring!
