Viewers watch movies to have fun, escape, laugh, and forget about horrible experiences. Several films encourage fans to go outside of their comfort zone. They make us think about a variety of problems, even if they are sometimes too realistic. Below are ten movies that fit that description. Keep reading to find out more.

 1- Nocturnal Animals (2016)
This is one of those films that you either love or despise. Susan gets a book written by her ex-husband, whom she hasn’t heard from in a long time, one day. The film’s narrative combines current history with that of the novel.
2- Get out (2017)
A young African-American guy will pay a visit to his girlfriend’s parents. Strange things begin to happen there, leading him to severe scenarios. This film has received widespread praise from reviewers and has been nominated for an Academy Award for Best Picture.
3- Red Sparrow (2018)
Dominika Egorova is a Russian dancer who has been recruited to be a ‘Red Sparrow,’ a program that requires her to use her body as a weapon. In the process, she will get entangled in an espionage war against the US.
4- Lost (2014)
The narrative revolves around a seemingly happy marriage in which Amy, Nick’s wife, mysteriously vanishes one day. People will begin to suspect Nick is the perpetrator and that he killed his wife. But not everything is as it seems.
5- Room (2016)
Since his birth, Jack has shared a room with his mother. He eats, plays, sleeps, and lives his whole life inside those four walls.

However, her mother has been abducted since she was 19 years old. Jack grows intrigued over time, and he has to discover a way out of that chamber.
6- The butterfly effect (2004)
Evan is a little child who has the ability to travel across time, and he soon discovers that some of the memories he has suppressed are not pleasant. He will attempt all he can to alter the past.
7- Split (2017)
Kevin is a guy who goes to treatment because he has 23 separate personas living within his body. He kidnaps three youngsters while being dominated by some of the characters that want to take possession of his body.
8- City of God (2002)
This film is based on actual events and chronicles the narrative of one of Brazil’s most well-known favelas, City of God. The video depicts how living in this area is difficult, with street battles, drug trafficking, and killings occurring on a regular basis.
9- 127 hours (2010)
The film is based on the actual tale of Aron Ralston, a climber who chooses to explore Utah’s canyons. He had a tremendous fall there and must determine what to do to live since he is stranded.
10- The Talent of Mr. Ripley (1999)
This film, based on Patricia Highsmith’s book of the same name, depicts Tom Ripley’s desire to emulate Dickie’s lavish lifestyle. In this film, Tom will go to any length to have his desired life.
